HOLI FESTIVAL
Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with a Holika Dahan where people gather, perform religious rituals in front of the bonfire, and pray that their internal evil be destroyed the way Holika, the sister of the demon king Hiranyakashipu, was killed in the fire. I couldn´t see any bonfire in my visit in Vrindavan. Maybe it was there, but was closed ceremony, not for public. However, following day on the streets there were color powders in the air, dancing people, joy, laugh and enjoying. As my photos, that I could take there, can reveal.
I was just taking photos of bypassing motorcyclist, as they threw color powder towards me. Vrindavan, Rajasthan.
